Sublimation printing process

1. Prepare a high-resolution design suitable for the printable area of the mug.

2. Print the design in mirror image onto sublimation paper using sublimation ink.

3. Make sure the mug surface is clean and free from dust, grease, or fingerprints.

4. Position the printed side of the sublimation paper against the mug and secure it tightly with heat-resistant tape.

5. Place the mug into a preheated mug press.

6. As a general starting point, use approximately 180°C for 120–180 seconds with strong pressure.

7. Carefully remove the mug using heat-resistant gloves and remove the sublimation paper.

8. Allow the mug to cool completely before handling or packaging.

The exact temperature and pressing time may vary depending on the heat press, heating element, sublimation paper, ink, and other production conditions.

If yellowing appears around the printed area, the mug may have been heated for too long or at too high a temperature.
